ADC Tral inaugurates Block Health Mela at SDH Tral – India Education | Latest Education News | World Education News


PULWAMA: In order to raise awareness about the importance of health and wellness and to bring various health facilities to the doorstep of the public, a Block Health Mela was held today at SDH Tral.

Assistant Commissioner FSO, Tehsildar Tral, BMO Tral, doctors along with other officials from CMO and SDH Tral office attended the camp.

No less than 18 stalls have been set up in the premises of SDH Tral, providing facilities for Covid, Immunization, Medicines, Eye Care, Health Checkup, Health Related Tests, Gold Cards, D ‘OPD, etc.

Speaking on the occasion, CDA said the purpose of these health melas is to educate people about the various government health plans and provide them with the best health facilities at their doorstep. He said efforts are underway to ensure the benefits of health-related schemes reach all households.

The Mela witnessed an overwhelming turnout from the local people who availed of the facility of free OPD medical diagnosis, free tests and medicines.

He said that through the Ayushman Bharat scheme, every ordinary citizen has been empowered to avail the best healthcare facilities free of charge, not only in government hospitals but also in private hospitals.

CDA called on people to register for gold cards, avail service of Jan Aushadhi and other health programs for their best health care and safety. He also discussed teleconsultation with military doctors.

Executive doctors, paramedical personnel and technicians carried out health check-ups on patients related to the specialty of Gynecology, ENT, Ophthalmology, Child Health, dermatology, general medicine, ortho, general and dental surgery.

CDA said health-related awareness programs will be held in each medical center in the sub-district to strengthen the health system and enlighten people about government programs for their health and treatment.
