SAN FRANCISCO, July 6, 2021 / PRNewswire / – Delta Dental Insurance Company, a subsidiary of Delta Dental of California, today announced its support for the legislation recently enacted in Texas (SB 2124) which allows health, dental and vision health insurance plans operating within the state to switch from paper delivery to electronic delivery of certain communications with customers.
The law promotes the adoption of a safer means of delivering documents and will reduce the state’s health care costs for consumers and employers and reduce environmental impacts. Specifically, it allows health plan sponsors to opt for all employees with online access to electronic delivery while providing employees with the flexibility to opt out of paperless distribution if they prefer.
