‘Endodontics Day’ at AMU – India Education | Latest Education News | World Education News


Aligarh: A patient outreach program, a quiz competition to assess participants’ knowledge within academia and beyond, and deliberations on the latest advances in endodontic surgery, dental implants, and root canal treatment , among other procedures, were held to mark “Endodontics Day” at the Department of Conservative Medicine. Dentistry and Endodontics, ZA Dental College (ZADC), Aligarh Muslim University (AMU).

Professor Rajendra Kumar Tewari (Principal, ZADC) said: “Receiving proper dental care is essential for a healthy mouth and healthy diet. With the right treatment, your teeth can last a lifetime.”

He also distributed certificates to participants.

Prof. SK Mishra (Chairman of Department of Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics) said, “The Federation of Operative Dentistry (FOD) was established on 5th March 1982 and renamed Indian Association of Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics (IACDE ) in 2011 – and since then operative and clinical activities and insight into endodontic management have progressed several folds”.

Faculty members Prof. Ashok Kumar, Dr. Syed Mukhtar Un Nisar Andrabi and Dr. Huma Iftekhar spoke about the expertise of endodontists in performing root canals and other procedures to save teeth.

Dr. Sana Shadab led the quiz contest.

Dr Asmat Fatima, Dr Shaziya Anjum, Dr Sarah Ahmad, Dr Daiashrailang Lyngdoh, Dr Faiza Javed, Dr Fatima Siddiqui and Dr Nandani Kumari presented scientific posters.
