Hackensack Meridian Mountainside Medical Center will offer free dental care to children 12 and under on Friday, February 4, as part of the American Dental Association’s “Give Kids a Smile” program.

“Almost one in four children under the age of five already have cavities,” Aneta Wojcik, director of the division of dentistry at Mountainside Medical Center, said in a Mountainside news release. “Preventive care, especially in these difficult times, is essential to maintaining good dental and general health. Regular visits to the dental office set the stage for a lifetime of good dental hygiene. Learning to schedule and respond to dental needs in a timely manner avoids premature tooth loss and unnecessary distress.

The Mountainside Dental Clinic is located on the third floor of the hospital campus at 1 Bay Avenue in Glen Ridge. Prior appointments are required. For more information and to schedule, call 973-429-6887.
