As part of Perdue Farms’ commitment to providing associates with access to preventative health care programs, the company is offering the convenience of workplace dental care through a new partnership with Jet Dental, a mobile dental care provider. on the spot.
“The general health and well-being of our associates is one of our highest priorities, which is why we offer a variety of health and well-being programs, including wellness centers in most of our facilities. Now, this partnership with Jet Dental is a nice addition to our overall wellness philosophy,” said Lynn Clark, Senior Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer at Perdue Farms.
“Many of our facilities are in rural areas where access to a dentist is limited and a visit to the dentist can often require significant time away from work. This model offers an incredibly convenient alternative for our associates to receive professional dental services without wasting time outside of work and still get paid during their appointment.
The Jet Dental experience is very similar to a regular dental office visit, except they bring their mobile, state-of-the-art services to the workplace. Jet Dental professionals offer a variety of services such as routine exams, preventive cleanings, x-rays, periodontal treatments, cavity fillings and more. Jet Dental bills the patient’s dental insurance provider, so there is no upfront cost to associates.
“At Jet Dental, our mission is to provide better dental health along with a refreshing, convenient experience. Partnering with companies like Perdue Farms allows us to provide a more holistic approach to improving the quality of life for employees in America” “Ensuring company associates have easy access to professional dental care is another demonstration of how Perdue puts its employees first,” said Jordan Smith, CEO of Jet Dental.
“Dental care, especially preventative care, is not always a priority for many people unless they are in pain,” said Dawn Carey, senior director of Perdue HealthWorks. “Preventive care has been at the heart of our comprehensive health and wellness program for decades, and access to periodic mobile dental services is the next step in that evolution.”
Perdue Farms offers associates access to a range of preventative health care services through its network of on-site wellness centers, including annual physicals, pap smears, mammograms and vision screenings . Wellness centers emphasize primary care and the control of risk factors and manageable diseases. Perdue also offers a “Health Improvement Program” (HIP), which encourages associates to participate in voluntary health screening and healthy activities by working with the company’s on-site health professionals. HIP is a preventive program designed to improve the health and well-being of associates by focusing on manageable health risks, including smoking, weight, diabetes and blood pressure.
