Ronald McDonald House Charities and Nevada Health Centers have partnered to launch Ronald McDonald Care Mobile, a mobile unit providing dental care directly to underserved children in low-income neighborhoods. Patients must be between the ages of 1 and 21 to receive care.
According to the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Greater Las Vegas, research shows Nevada ranks 49th in the nation for access to dental care. Poor dental health puts children at increased risk for more serious, long-term health complications in the future.
This semi-trailer was designed to be a real dental practice. It has two dental hygiene/treatment rooms, an X-ray laboratory and a reception and records area. The staff consists of dentists, dental hygienists and support staff.
Ronald McDonald Care Mobile serves Clark, Elko, White Pine, Humboldt, Eureka and Lander counties in Nevada. They will visit accessible places such as schools, churches and community centers. Click here to see a schedule of their upcoming locations and times.
A valid government-issued photo ID is required. To book an appointment or for more information, all patients can call 1-800-787-2568.
