JAMMU, July 31: Unemployed dentists continued their protest on the 40th day today to demand the creation of new positions for dentists in J&K public hospitals.
As usual, dozens of unemployed dental surgeons gathered in Amphalla Chowk today and staged a protest demonstration. The young protesters said they have been protesting for their rights for about 40 days, but no one from the administration has come to meet them and learn about their issues.
“Our employment problems have not been resolved since 2008, when the government last officially published incentive positions for dentists at the Ministry of Health. Since then, thousands of dentists have been desperate and unemployed. The reason for this unemployment clearly stems from a mismatch between supply and demand in the health sector, ”said the protesting dental surgeons.
Unemployed dentists have said they represent authorities from time to time, but nothing has been done so far for their welfare. “Two years ago, with the help of Governor Satyapal Malik and his advisor Vijay Kumar, we were finally able to formulate our demands rightly and the agents were invited to work on the creation of new dental surgeon positions. in the state, but this file is gathering dust in the finances. department over the past three years, ”they added.
“After the repeal of articles 370 and 35 A, we are not in leadership but in government dictatorship. We do not obtain the authorization for peaceful assembly, which is our right, ”they declared and called on LG Manoj Sinha to meet them so that they can inform them of their misfortunes.
