Grammy award-winning Nigerian Afrobeats superstar WizKid showed up for a dentist appointment for an emergency dental checkup at Charisma Dental, Ghana with Ghanaian dental surgeon, Dr. Louisa Ansong.
“The starboy himself @wizkidayo came to get his teeth fixed at @charismadentalgh. You should also make it a point to see your dentist every 6 months,” she shared a photo of WizKid and her -even on Instagram.
A few weeks ago, Davido – Nigerian-American singer, songwriter and record producer and member of the 30 Billion Gang, also made an appointment at the dental institution’s emergency department to get checked out.
With a well-decorated and enviable record, the wife of multi-award winning reggae and dancehall artist, Stonebwoy, Dr. Louisa Ansong-Satekla, has become Ghana’s most sought after professional dentist licensed to practice preventive, diagnostic and the treatment of diseases, injuries and malformations of the teeth, jaws and mouth. His establishment has been the hub of celebrities seeking excellent dental checkups and solutions.
Right after high school, she went to Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology for her graduate studies. She graduated as the best student (dental surgeon) from KNUST in 2016. As the best student, she won 6 out of 9 awards at the school’s graduation.
Dr. Louisa Ansong is currently practicing as a dentist at Charisma Dental Clinic. With her passion for changing the face of oral healthcare in Ghana, she launched a weekly oral health social media campaign dubbed “Toothy Tuesdays”. The program aims to educate its followers and the masses on healthy tips for having healthy teeth.
The webcast is updated weekly. It keeps patients and the general public well informed of the risk associated with inappropriate treatment as well as its impact on the dental patient. The show’s first episode premiered on its official Instagram channel in December 2020, amassing over 70,000 views
