Aida Azizii left disappointed after paying for low-budget dental work

A young woman who flew to Iran for cut-price dental treatment has been disembowelled because her teeth looked like ‘piano keys’.

Aida Azizii, 26, decided to head to Tehran on May 7 and opted for a composite bond as it was a bargain at just £550 for 19 teeth.

But after six hours in the dentist’s chair, Aida says the procedure was a disaster as she was left with mismatched teeth and she could barely close her mouth.

The project manager said even her voice had changed as a result of the botched procedure, and now she has shared her ordeal online to warn others.

“I was very confident in this new doctor who was recommended to me. I didn’t see any social media accounts, I just booked him on the spot and he did it in one appointment. you, which I should have seen as a red flag at the start. .

“The composite bonding procedure cost £550 in total for 19 teeth to be done.

“When the procedure started the dentist was still busy with another patient so her dental assistant started the job, she reassured me and kept telling me to trust her like she always does and that’s it. is his job.

“In Iran they like bright white teeth, but I just wanted a natural white color. Although she insisted that it would give me a very nice white color and fade in a year.

“She chose the whitest color I’ve ever seen. It was like piano keys.

“She only did the bottom four teeth and then had to leave, so the doctor eventually took over.”

Aida made an impulsive decision while visiting her family in Iran to get a composite bonding on her teeth because she knew it was cheaper than the UK and Turkey.

Aida adds, “When we finished, I looked at myself in the mirror and I couldn’t believe what he had done. I looked like a horse. They were way too big but he told me that I was just getting used to it.

“I wasn’t even able to eat because my back teeth weren’t touching and the tip of my tongue was sore from hitting the back of my teeth because the composite wasn’t bonded properly.

“My lips got so dry because I couldn’t close my mouth and my voice changed too.

“I had to go back after a few days and have them shaved some more, I was in so much pain and there was so much pressure on my front teeth.

“Again the doctor was busy so the assistant had to fix them, always telling me I could trust her, I reluctantly let her work on my teeth again, I was in so much pain.

“I then found another doctor while I was still in Iran. He couldn’t believe how badly they had been treated and asked me how long the old doctor had been a doctor, but I wasn’t sure.

“I was told that because they were so big and all the pressure was on my front teeth if I hadn’t treated them my natural teeth would eventually fall out. He changed everything except the color and he even compared to chalk.

“Luckily my teeth are fine now, just very white.

“It cost me an extra £200 but I’m so glad I saved my teeth from falling out.

“Looking back, I don’t even think the first man I saw was a doctor.

“I guess I didn’t look for a certificate so it was me who was stupid, but at least it was just composite bonding and not veneers so my natural teeth weren’t shaved.”
